This blog acts as a portfolio for my artwork, I hope you enjoy it.

On the 30th July 2018 we held a Summer Art Exhibition, called "Modist Modernism", featuring the artwork by various students by the Trinity Art group (TAG).
The theme was 20th century Modernism inspired by Sonia Delaunay and Laszlo Maholy-Nagy. I decorated a dress with abstracted designs, made with fabric pens and acrylic paint. My friend and fellow student Vanessa decorated a white T-shirt with heart, diamond, club and spade symbols painted with acrylic paint.
We also decorated lampshades with modernist designs. I painted mine with drawing ink making flower shapes and a butterfly. Vanessa decorated her lampshade with a colourful stripey design using wax crayons. Together Vanessa and I created a paper mache sculpture inspired by Laszlo Maholy-Nagy, entitled "The thing that goes ding".
Finally my exhibition contribution culminated with a large canvas echoing the designs I had created for my dress. On the day itself a Ukulele band played music to entertain the guests and we had canapes and fresh fruit. Several of the artworks sold. It was a successful afternoon and everyone enjoyed themselves.
